Nauman Qureshi is the Vice President of Product at STARZPLAY (www.starzplay.com), MENA’s leading video streaming service based out of Dubai. He is responsible for driving a special focus on personalisation of content for customers while building engagement on mobile apps, a wide variety of TV apps, and gaming console interfaces. His focus is to deliver an engaging and effortless way for users to identity great movies and TV shows to watch instantly on the platform.
A tech veteran, Nauman brings a wealth of experience having spent his career building and scaling consumer internet products. Starting his career at Microsoft in Seattle where he worked on applications such as Hotmail, Messenger, and Windows Mobile, he moved to Silicon Valley where he worked at startups in the Ed-tech and Clean-tech space. At Silicon Valley/Stanford, he founded his own start-up Ropazi – a machine learning and AI based company focused on conversational commerce allowing consumers to purchase products over messaging.
Before STARZPLAY, Nauman headed Digital Products and Services at Telenor, where he conceptualised and created new product offerings to help subscribers gain access to digital services, and also led multiple critical partnerships with global tech companies such as Facebook, Google and Netflix to bring their services to South Asia. Earlier, he led large teams of Product/Tech/UX resources to build mobile and web products that have helped over 400 million users interact with consumer internet services worldwide.
Nauman has an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He lives in Dubai with his wife and two kids.
